My name is Dana Renee Kilroy, a 29 year old, Eastern Michigan University graduate with a bachelor's degree in photography, Spanish, and marketing. I currently reside in and operate from the Ferndale area. A great part of my childhood was spent creating visual art such as graphite drawings or acrylic paintings but, the moment I closed one eye and peeked through my first camera lens, a love was born. Taking photographs has genuinely given me another way to connect with people, which is why I have a strong adoration for portraits. I strive for interesting and unexpected compositions in an attempt to create beautiful moments in the typically unimpressive or seemingly mundane. Along with this, perhaps my greatest goal is creating a true representation of personality through capturing photographs in the most genuine moments. I strongly wish to expose memories that individuals will hold dear for years to come and in doing this, I hope to understand more about the people I encounter while I have my finger on the shutter button.
